The growth of online commerce and the use of online services was the most positive factor in 2021, and the negative one was the limitation of development opportunities due to the unstable situation in the economy.
Analysts of the international online store Wildberries conducted a survey of almost 8 thousand Russian businessmen and found out what achievements and disappointments they had in 2021. It turned out that the main positive factor was the growth of online commerce and online services – 55% of respondents paid attention to this. They also noted an increase in consumer demand (29%), the development of digitalization (27%), positively assessed the support from the state and big business (5%).
The main critical factor was the limitation of business development opportunities due to the unstable economic situation in the world. 15% considered the introduction of restrictive measures due to the pandemic as such, 21% – the acceleration of inflation, 67% – the rise in the cost of logistics services, 55% – the growth of competition.
At the same time, in 2022, 42% of business will launch new categories of goods on the market, 40% will expand purchases or production, 14% will use new sales channels to promote.
